Potato and Aval

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Aval (thick varity) Poha
  • 1 Potatoes (boiled and cubed)
  • 1 Onions
  • 1 Green Chilly
  • 1 tsp Chana dal
  • 1 tsp Urad dal
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 Curry leaves
  • 2 tsp Peanuts optional
  • Coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil
  • 1 sp lemon juice


Method:
  • In a deep pan pour oil and make seasoning.
  • Add onion and chilly.
  • Add potato cubes and fry well.
  • Add turmeric powder if you want colour.
  • Add drained poha/ aval and salt.
  • Mix well. make the stove sim and mix again.
  • Add coriander leaves and lemon juice.
  • Remove from the fire and serve as it is.
  • Or serve with thick curd.


Notes:
  • You can add cooked peas or grated carrots or beet roots in this according to your childs taste.
  • Or even you can avoid green chilly.
