- Tomato 2 - 3
- Onion 2 - 3
- Ghee 2-3 sp
- Cumin seeds 1/2 sp
- Mustard seeds 1/2 sp
- Ginger 1 inch
- garlic 5 - 6
- Grated fresh coconut 1/4 cup
- Puttu kadlai 2 tab sp
- Red chilly powder 1 sp
- Turmeric powder 1/2 sp
- Salt
Method:
- Take Tomato and Onion in equal proportions.
- Pour ghee or oil in a pan and make seasoning with cumin seeds and mustard seeds.
- Add tomato and onion.
- Add red chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt.
- Grind ginger, garlic, 1/4 cup grated coconut and processed Channa dal/puttu kadalai with water.
- Add the mixture in the masala.
- Let it boil for a while.
- Remove from the fire and serve with chapatti or puri.
