Tomato, Onion Kuruma

Ingredients:
  • Tomato 2 - 3
  • Onion 2 - 3
  • Ghee 2-3 sp
  • Cumin seeds 1/2 sp
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 sp
  • Ginger 1 inch
  • garlic 5 - 6
  • Grated fresh coconut 1/4 cup
  • Puttu kadlai 2 tab sp
  • Red chilly powder 1 sp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 sp
  • Salt


Method:
  • Take Tomato and Onion in equal proportions.
  • Pour ghee or oil in a pan and make seasoning with cumin seeds and mustard seeds.
  • Add tomato and onion.
  • Add red chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  • Grind ginger, garlic, 1/4 cup grated coconut and processed Channa dal/puttu kadalai with water.
  • Add the mixture in the masala.
  • Let it boil for a while.
  • Remove from the fire and serve with chapatti or puri.
