- 250 g Walnut
- 250 g Dates
- 250 grams dried grapes
- 250 g of almonds
- 250 g Melon seeds
- A little cashew, A little pistachio give good taste but better to skip it.
- 250 g of prossed channa dal ( Pottukkadalai )
- 250 g of roasted peanuts
- A handful of dry Coconut pieces (if needed)
- 125 g of millet (thinai)
- 100 g of Jaggery
- Honey - as per requirement ( we have to make laddu )
Method:
- Dry fry Millet (thinai)
- You must get good aroma from it. Keep aside.
- Bring it to room temp. then grind it as fine powder.
- Then put all the other ingredients into a mixer grinder and just inch it.
- Put them on a plate and pour honey.
- Make small small laddus out of it.
- Delicious and nutritious 'Dry Fruits Laddus' ready to serve.
Notes:
- You can also add sugar candy or palm jaggery or palm candy instead of jaggery .
- Instead of a 'inching' in the mixie, you can cut all dry fruits into small pieces and just powder the Millet and then make laddu.
- Children and adults can eat this .... you can make small small laddus say , 30 - 35 grams; and you can take two for breakfast and go to school / office. You will not feel hungry till noon. All of the above are maximum protein and Omega3. So it is good for health. Cashews and pistachios are rich in cholesterol . That's why I asked you to add less quantity or don't add atall.
- This can also be called Power Balls ! :)
